Project has Millbrook's seal of approval
Native band won't appeal development of new Wal-Mart

After the band appealed the original plan for the development, citing safety and traffic concerns, developer First Professional Management redesigned the site and agreed to make specific improvements in the neighbourhood. The millbrook band feels the new design does not pose a danger in the area.

"The Millbrook band will not be appealing the site," Chief Lawrence Paul said Wednesday. "We studied the realignment of the site closely with technicians, consultants and our solicitor and we are convinced it doesn't constiture a safety or traffic concern."
